Stripping away the traditional ideals of what is “successful” and shrugging off what I “should” be at my age is so much harder than I thought. It feels like it’s taking months to peel it back.
But at least now I’m actually looking at what is underneath. What is me? Without a traditional title and ladder to climb, I’m not relying on other people’s opinions. It’s weirdly freeing as much as it is terrifying.
